I received the Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum just a little over a month ago and I’m just now getting around to doing a review on it because I wanted to make sure I had enough time to try it out – When it comes to creams or any skin care products, it usually takes some time using the product until you see results.
Let me get started by tell you a little bit about what the Clinique smart custom-repair serum is all about. It is formulated to address uneven skin tone, minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles, improve firmness, and improve the overall radiance of the skin. Some of the ingredients that make this serum so powerful are red algae (to help soothe), grape extract (to reduce coloration), cucumber extract (for hydration), and collagen boosting ingredients to re-volumise the skin.
You apply it on your face and neck in the morning and night for the best results – just one pump is enough. The serum has a very light tint but goes on clear, and with a matte finish that doesn’t dull out your skin. Now, I know I said that most skin care products require some time before you notice any difference, but as soon as I applied the serum my skin felt incredibly soft and smooth. Even though it is supposed to hydrate your skin, I still apply moisturizer on top of the clinique repair serum.
I don’t think I have too many spots or discoloration on my skin, so I can’t say much on that regard, but I do notice a difference in the firmness, and in reducing the redness. I also noticed it has given my skin a nice natural glow when not wearing any makeup. I had my mom try and she liked it so much that she has now started using it and I have noticed a difference in her skin as well. One day, her skin caught my attention that I had to stop and ask if she did something different with her make up, because it looked different (in a good way), but the only thing she had done differently was start using the repair serum.
I’ve definitely been happy with this product, and I’m actually excited to try a new Clinique product that has just hit the market – The Clinique Sonic Purifying Cleasning brush. I know I mentioned in my July sale finds post that I wanted to try the clarisonic since it was on sale, but when I saw this one was available, and for at a lower price, I thought I should give this one a try for my first cleansing brush system.
