Happy New Year! Another year has come to a close and we welcome a new one. 2017 was a good year filled with surprise, travel, and new experiences. I wanted to do a little recap of my year for my final post of 2017 and share some of my favorite things that happened.
Travel:
I started off the year by traveling to the Bay Area in January, followed with a few trips to Houston from Dallas through out the spring. I kicked off the Summer in May with a trip to Los Angeles, where I went to Disneyland and then drove to Phoenix to enjoy the sunshine. In June, I went to Seattle for the first time and got to visit Safeco Field. July took me to some more new places, like Philadelphia and Cooperstown for the the Baseball Hall of Fame induction! In October, I went on our annual trip to Austin for the Formula 1 race and had a blast.
I’m looking forward to more travel in 2018, I’ve already got one trip planned in January. Maybe I will get in a little international travel this year… we’ll see!
Moving:
At the beginning of the year, I had no intention of moving. But, in March, while in Houston, we went to look at some new homes and decided that weekend to put our home of a year and 4 months in Dallas up for sale. Our home sold in less than 30 days and we were back in Houston just like that!
We moved into our home in November, and I am looking forward to getting it all decorated in 2018. Follow along @homebylynny to see the progress!
Baseball:
I feel like this years theme was, baseball. From our usual Astros game beginning with opening day, to visiting Cooperstown, to visiting new stadiums… Oh, and did I mention going to post season games and seeing the Astros win the World Series! As a life long baseball fan, this was definitely a fun year of baseball for me.
By Lynny:
While I didn’t get out as many posts as I would have liked this year, I did have some exciting things happen. I had one of my videos hit 100,000 views for the first time! I also started my home decor instagram, HomebyLynny, which is off to a good start!
For 2018, I really hope to post more as well as put out more videos. Now that I am back in my own house, with a dedicated office, and studio, that should not be a problem!
Thank you for following along this year and I am excited to see what 2018 brings for my and ByLynny!
