Fall Makeup Look

I recently received a package with some products from Ulta to create a smokey, glazed look for fall. The look includes a metallic smokey eye with a beautiful burgundy shadow from Urban Decay and a glossy lip.

The eye look may look intimidating at first glance, but it’s actually quite easy to achieve. Just follow the steps below and you will have no problem!

FACE:

Smashbox Blush Trio

I started off the look by applying my favorite foundation, IT Cosmetics CC Cream. This foundation is great if you have dry skin, discoloration, or prefer a lighter base than your typical foundation. I followed it up by adding color to my cheeks with the Smashbox Blush and Highlight Palette. I swirled the blush on the apples of my cheeks and placed the highlight just above my cheek bones.

BROWS:

NYX Brow Pencil

I then filled in my brows using the NYX Micro Brown Pencil in the color taupe. Above, you can see I filled in one of my brows just enough to give them a natural, but full look.

EYES:

Black smokey eye how-to

Using a black gel liner, I filled in my lid and then blended the color out using a brush to give a smudged out smokey look. The gel liner is soft enough that it blends easily with a brush, and not give you a patchy look.

Urban Decay Thunderbird

I then placed Urban Decay’s Thunderbird eyeshadow over the top of the lid. This is a beautiful metallic brown-red shade that is perfect for fall.

Urban Decay Metallic Eyeshadow

Now to give the lids a glossy look, I added the Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss in the color Bronzed. Using a small, rounded brush I applied the gloss to the lower half of the lid and to the outer V corner of the lid.

To finish off the eye look, I applied the L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara on my lashes. I’ve always been a fan of the L’Oreal Voluminous mascara line and have been using the Lash Paradise one since it came out.

LIPS:

Urban Decay 1993

It’s time to complete the look with a glossy lip. First, I lined my lips using Urban Decay’s 1993 lip liner. I really love this shade; I often wear it on it’s on! This time however, I topped it with Benefit’s Liquid Lip color in Pink Berry and placed a high shine lip gloss by Ulta.

Above, we have the finished look! Once fall arrives, I always go for a darker smokey eye look and with the holiday parties and events right around the corner, why wouldn’t you want to glam it up a bit more. Is this a look you would be willing to try?
