Simple Fall Home Decor

Fall Table Centerpiece

Now that Halloween has passed, it’s time to officially start thinking about fall decor, if you haven’t all ready. It’s also time to start thinking about Thanksgiving decor and how you can start prepping your home for Thanksgiving Day.

The nice thing about fall decor is that you don’t have to go all out to give your home a cozy, fall feel. All you have to do is add a few touches around the home and it will give your house a whole new feel.

Fall Wreaths

Wreaths:

Let’s start with the outside of the home. Wreaths are the best way to get your home in the fall “spirit”. Not only do they dress up your front entrance, but they’re fairly affordable. You can usually find them for under $100. The two wreaths currently on my door are from Sams but they can be found at places like Home Goods, Target, Hobby Lobby, anywhere that sells home decor products.

Fall Sunflowers

Pumpkins:

When you think of fall, you think of pumpkins. So what better way to decorate for fall than with pumpkins. My mom picked up these metallic pumpkin candles after Thanksgiving last year. This year, we placed them around the house near flowers, on the mantle, and on a side table. They are small but give a nice fall touch to each room.

I plan on using this ceramic pumpkin to serve my stuffing during Thanksgiving dinner. I usually set everything up buffet style on the island so I think it will add a nice touch to the food set up.

Scents:

If you don’t feel like changing up your decor… the best way to make it feel like fall is with scented candles. The scent of fall can completely transform the feel of your home. Nest candles has a nice Pumpkin Chai candle.  If you aren’t a fan of pumpkin scent, then try apple, pear, cinnamon, nutmeg, and other spices. One thing I always do is put cinnamon, sliced apples, cloves, and water in a small pot and let it warm on the stove. The smell will fill your home throughout, you’ll think your baking a delicious pie!

Thanksgiving Table Centerpiece

Table Centerpiece:

You know I’m all about setting my table for the occasion of course, I had to include a festive centerpiece on this list. If there is one thing I do to it’s this. Here is a look at last year’s Thanksgiving table. This will be my 4th year hosting Thanksgiving dinner so I like to make sure my table looks nice for my guests. The centerpiece pictured above, was made by my moms friend. She bought the picks at Hobby Lobby and placed them inside a wooden base she already owned.
