Watermelon and Feta Salad

You remember my last post, where I shared with you my HomeGoods haul and Target purchases for the 4th of July? Well, now it’s time to show you how I put everything all together for a fun, outdoor celebration.

It didn’t take much to make the space look festive. I set up a folding table and covered it with a white table cloth. I then placed the ice buckets out and filled them with drinks. The next steps were to just place the mini lanterns and other decorative items out along with some fresh hydrangeas.

It made the perfect centerpiece on the patio while we grilled some hot dogs and sliders and enjoyed a nice summer evening outside. To go with our burgers and hotdogs, we decided to make a watermelon and feta salad. This salad was a hit! It’s a mix of sweet and salty and is refreshing treat in the summer heat.

One of my favorite items I picked up were these hot dog trays for just $3. They were a great alternative to traditional paper plates and looked much nicer, despite still being a paper plate. I also loved the ice buckets. Even though we have a fridge in the summer kitchen, it was nice to have some drinks available at the table.
