For the MTV video music awards last week, Solagne Knowles showed up with very simple, and natural, makeup. She did however bring some attention to her eyes, not with liner or shadows, but colored lashes. I loved the look and thought it was perfect for the occasion! If you want to try out this look, I recommend going with colored mascara as opposed to colored fake lashes. Using mascara will just make the look less costume-y. NYX Cosmetics has a colored mascara that is super affordable, at $6.99, and comes in easy to wear colors like purple and blue. Ciate has a line of colored mascaras that offer a few more colors like green, pink, and aqua, that retails for $21. Of course if you are willing to splurge on a nice mascara, then YSL and Dior have you covered!
