Now that i’ts practically summer, I thought it be the perfect time to do a summer must-have round up.
- Off the shoulder dresses: As I have mentioned before, off the shoulder tops and dresses are the it style right now so it’s only natural that they be on the list. A few of my recent favorites include this denim one that is cinched at the waist as well as this one that comes in a trapeze shape (currently on sale for $35!).
- Flat sandals: Not just any flat sandal though… There a quite a few Loeffler Randall sandals that are at the top of the list. Like these with the pom pom detail that can be worn tied at the ankle or laced up the leg. If you prefer to not have anything around the ankle, then this style would work great.
- A cover up: If you are headed out to the pool or on vacation then a cover up is a must, of course. Some cover ups, like this one, are great because they serve as an extra outfit. If you get one that doubles as a dress or romper then you can easily head over to lunch while out by the pool.
- A coral lip color: I’m all about a light pink lip but there is just something about coral once summer rolls around… especially with a bronzed look! MAC just released this coral shade as part of their new limited edition collection inspired by the desert.
- Bronzer: Summer is all about the sun kissed look so use a bronzer to either enhance your natural bronze or to add that extra glow to your self tanner. Pair your coral lip with this coral-y bronzer for a perfect match!
- Swimsuit: Well, of course you need a swimsuit… it’s summer! Nothing says summer more than with a nautical look like this striped one-piece suit. I like that the stripes are small, which is more figure flattering.
- Straw tote: These are perfect for taking to the beach or pool. You can stick your towel, sunblock, ipad, and whatever else you need while lounging around. They also don’t get dirty like cloth beach bags.
- Drink Tumbler: I usually just carry around a water bottle but isn’t this so much cuter? The S’well ones are also a good pick because not only can you put your water, or tea… but you can also fill them up with champagne and it keeps it cool!
- Hat: Warm summer weather usually means more outdoor activities. Whether is be the pool, brunch, or a day out hats not only protect you from the sun but just think how they can spruce up a simple outfit.
- Sunglasses: These are always a must no matter the year but summer is a time when you can really have fun with your sunglasses. Think white for a fresh look, or colored frames to add a pop of color to your look.
- Strappy sandals: We already covered flat sandals above but you definitely need a pair of heels too. A nude strappy heel can easily take your summer look from day to night.
- Colorful nails: My wardrobe is fairly neutral so this is just another way add touches of color to my look. Nail color can always help complete your look and with so many beautiful summer shades out you won’t have trouble finding the perfect color.
- Small travel bag: I’m sure many of you will be taking a vacation this summer whether it be long or just a quick weekend trip. Doesn’t this travel bag look as excited as you to go on vacation!
